The Redemption of Israel is the single largest body of end times prophecy in the Bible. That, by its very size should cause us to give it serious attention. Unfortunately, we have not.
Why?
Part of the problem lies with what we call the first 24 books of the Bible:
The Old Testament
That name that we have given these words of God, diminishes its value in our eyes. This should not be so, since the God we worship does not change and is the same God of Adam, Abraham, David and you. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then the words of the Hebrew Scriptures are as valid as the words written in Greek.
Unfortunately, there is a body of commentary that our pastors and teachers preach from that diminishes the Hebrew Scriptures. And, there are very few who are willing to learn Hebrew to understand the words that God gave us.
The theologians who crafted the mainline eschatologies that most follow, considered the Redemption of Israel as an afterthought. They spent their time building up all the other events of the Last Days, and left the last piece – Israel – for later. This means that no one knows where to put the Redemption of Israel in the Last Days.
It is long past time to undo the errors of the theologians and place Israel in the right place of the events of the Last Days. It’s time to look at Israel and the Land of Israel as God looks at them:
The Center
Remember that we are not the natural branches of the Olive Tree. We were grafted in to wait for God to bring Israel back to her place and make her part of the tree. And let us not forget what Peter told us in 2 Peter 3:1-2.
“This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:”
We have accepted the words of the apostles and those spoken by Jesus, but we have not been mindful of the words which were spoken by the holy prophets of the Hebrew Scriptures. This is a foolish thing, and it is time look at what the prophets said and seek to understand them.
However, that’s a tall order. There is so much that God has said through the prophets that we need to sift through them carefully. Our first step is to divide the prophecies into three categories:
Fulfilled
Unfulfilled
Fulfilled and Unfulfilled
I put the last two into a database and wrapped a website around it. You can find it here:
Prophecies Unfulfilled
https://propheciesunfulfilled.com/
That’s a lot, and it is still a bit confusing. Yes, you will learn a lot by searching that site, but for those who are not used to considering the Redemption of Israel, there needs to be a little more focus. That’s where this site comes in.
I have taken all the prophecies that are connected to the Redemption of Israel, and put each one under a single category. The previous database allowed for more than one category, which is useful for specific kinds of searches, but less useful for those who do not have a lot of experience with the prophets.
Furthermore, not every passage in each category was as strongly connected to that subject. So, I created three tiers within each category:
1st Tier – explicitly and obviously a part of the category
2nd Tier – less explicit, but supportive of the Tier 1 passages
3rd Tier – passages that would not appear to be a part of that category, but are still connected.
Then there are the tags. They also add a dimension to each passage and shows a connection to other passages that might not be apparent on the surface. The tags show more of the complexity in these passages.
Remember that this is the rule that God laid out for understanding His words:
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
– Isaiah 28:9-10 (KJV)
This was a deliberate plan of God. When you read the rest of Isaiah 28, you’ll find that God did this to keep the rebels from understanding. And to God, rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Sam 15:23).
