Fruitful Wilderness

At the time of Israel’s Redemption, the global earthquake will change the face of the world. When it says that mountains fall and valleys rise. That also means a change in climate on a massive scale.

Why?

Because mountains direct the weather. They change air currents and strip water out of clouds. That’s why most of the farmland in Israel is west of the mountains.

Israel has also been able to farm northern parts of the Negev through irrigation, and rain does make it down there, but’s generally waste howling wilderness. When you drive by, you can hardly tell that anyone can live there. And generally, they don’t.

But, God has plans for this waste howling wilderness.

The Spirit Poured Out on Israel

Isaiah 32:9-20 The Spirit Poured Out on Israel
https://israelsaved.com/isaiah-32_9-20-the-spirit-poured-out-on-israel/

14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

What does it mean when it says ‘Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high’?

That means that Israel will be saved. That is the salvation of Israel. No one has the spirit poured upon them from on high if they haven’t been saved. And, we’ve talked at length about the vast destruction that happens at this time.

But, since the geography has changed, what happens to the rain patterns?

What was once uninhabitable will become fruitful fields and forests and peaceful habitation. And, it will be from God, not the workings of man. In fact, none of Israel’s irrigation will work anymore, because the Solar cataclysm that I call Ezekiel’s Fire will have destroyed all electric power generation and even our electronics.

Israel Redeemed and Changed

Isaiah 35 Israel Redeemed and Changed
https://israelsaved.com/isaiah-35-israel-redeemed-and-changed/

1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

When God says that the wilderness and the desert will be glad and rejoice… when waters break out and streams flow through the desert… when utterly dry ground becomes a pool… thirsty land have springs of water …that is an utterly fantastic change in the geology and topography of Israel.

We are talking about mountains far away that used to direct some water to Israel, will change and direct even more water and direct it to the south.

But wait, if more water is directed at Israel, that means less for somewhere else. Does the Bible mention this?

Yes.

Read all of Isaiah 17, because Damascus is probably the oldest, continuously inhabited cities in the world. And then, it won’t be.

Why?

Well, first of all, it will be knocked down in the massive earthquake that I talked about. But, Damascus has always been rebuilt.

Why won’t Damascus be rebuilt this time?

Well, you have to ask yourself why Damascus was built the first time. And the answer is the Barada River. It comes from an underground stream in the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. And, the vast, global earthquake that knocks everything down, will also dry up the Barada River.

How could that happen?

Well, it could merely be redirected underneath these mountains. Or, the rain patterns change and the rain that once fed this underground river are no longer bringing water to it. And so, the number one reason for why the city of Damascus exists will be completely removed.

For those of you who know the history of the Middle East, Damascus was ALWAYS the regional capital of the Middle East. No one EVER ruled from Jerusalem, except Israel.

Why?

Because Damascus was the perfect crossroads for the caravans going into Africa or east into Mesopotamia, Persia and India. Those wishing to go into Europe would need to go through Damascus.

Why?

All other routes were impossible or horribly unsafe. Take your pick. If you went the northern route through Russia, you’d need a sizable army to protect you. But, if you went the normal, well-patrolled route, you go through Damascus, then north up to Turkey and then on to Europe. Or, you could take boat from Latakia.

Now, we could talk trade routes all day, but the point is that Damascus is 5000 years old, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world and it has never, ever been destroyed. Captured many times, but always repaired and retained as a regional capital. But, without water, it will dry up and blow away.

It will never be rebuilt.

That’s why Ezekiel 17 says that Damascus is taken away from being a city. It’s ability to be a city has been hauled off and dumped into the Negev. And yes, the Hebrew word for ‘taken away’ is מוסר (Moo-Sar), which is not used in this way in Modern Hebrew. Today that word refers to ethics and morals.

God Shall Help Israel

Isaiah 41:1-20 God Shall Help Israel
https://israelsaved.com/isaiah-41_1-20-god-shall-help-israel/

14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:

20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

God is going to water Israel in ways that are so fantastic, that it will be proof that God did this. And, everyone who survives the vast earthquake and invasion of Gog and Magog will understand this, because God will have given them faith in Christ.

Atheistic scientists would scoff at this, but they will be in their ivory towers when God knocks down all those towers as said in Isaiah 30:25:

And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Oh, and what was that verse that scared [expletive deleted] out of me?

Right Isaiah 30:26:

Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

Right, the salvation of Israel. Case closed.

Ah but we have a few more verses, so case reopened.

Israel Redeemed

Isaiah 43:1-21 Israel Redeemed
https://israelsaved.com/isaiah-43_1-21-israel-redeemed/

1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

Again, the redemption of Israel, but notice how God refers to them: Jacob. That’s Israel in her unredeemed state. God redeems them, and what happens to the dry unlivable land of Israel?

It becomes a place of springs and rivers.

Yes, God will destroy all the pumping stations that bring water from the Sea of Galilee. But, Israel will have plenty of water to drink because God will bring water out of the mountains and valleys, everywhere in Israel. Israel will no longer need a complicated water distribution system.

God will Comfort Zion

Isaiah 51:1-3 God will Comfort Zion
https://israelsaved.com/isaiah-51_1-3-god-will-comfort-zion/

3 For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Okay, God not only saves and comforts Israel, but He makes their wilderness like the Garden of Eden and the Garden of the Lord.

Is it possible to consider any description that is more fantastic?

(Especially if you’ve spent any time in the Negev.)

Israel Brought Back And Then Redeemed

Ezekiel 36:16-38 Israel Brought Back And Then Redeemed
https://israelsaved.com/ezekiel-36_16-38-israel-brought-back-and-then-redeemed/

We’ve already talked about Ezekiel 36 in the Return of Israel, but this is a chance to emphasize that chapter and something that we just saw above.

35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

Yeah. The Land of Israel will be like the garden of Eden. Even better than it is today.

Yes, people will tell you that Israel is a beautiful country that is full of life, but the most dominant color of Israel is still brown. As much as Israel has done, and as much as the land has responded to the hand of the Israelis, it will be even more. And what does Ezekiel 36 say about why Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden?

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

That’s right. God Redeems them. He saves them. He makes them His own people again.

That’s why Israel will be like the Garden of Eden.
