The coming of Gog and Magog will be the one event that changes the world more than any other in history since the Flood. It will destroy our civilization through Ezekiel’s Fire. There will be a global earthquake that will knock down every building in every city around the world. Billions will die.
People have said that Jacob’s Trouble is the Great Tribulation, but I’m sorry. That just isn’t true. Jacob’s trouble is the coming of Gog and Magog and the two thirds of everyone in the land of Israel dying. But, it also sounds like there will be two thirds of everyone in the world who will die as well.
However, as incredible as all of that sounds, our focus is on the salvation of Israel, and the events connected to that time.
The Salvation Verses
Ezekiel 39:6-7, 21-29 The Salvation Verses
https://israelsaved.com/ezekiel-396-7-21-29-the-salvation-verses/
6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.
23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
28 Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
Anyone who can look at the coming of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel and not understand that this massive invasion is not the time of Israel’s Redemption, well… I wouldn’t know what to say, other than reading glasses might be needed.
The Coming Of Gog And Magog
Ezekiel 38:1-17 The Coming Of Gog And Magog
https://israelsaved.com/ezekiel-38_1-17-the-coming-of-gog-and-magog/
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord God.
There are people who want to say that the coming of Gog and Magog as described in Ezekiel, is also the coming of Gog and Magog as described in Revelation at the end of the Millennium. The above passage makes that impossible.
It’s strange to have to do this, but here’s the proof:
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
– Revelation 20:7-11 (KJV)
Do you see any period of time that would allow seven months for Gog and Magog to be buried?
Me neither.
But, then there are those who believe that this coming of Gog and Magog is Armageddon. I actually tried to prove that true, but failed miserably.
Why did I fail miserably?
Because when you compare Gog and Magog with Armageddon, they don’t fit. You cannot make the coming of Gog and Magog to be Armageddon. You just can’t. And, you will see my attempt to make Gog and Magog to be Armageddon, here:
When Gog Comes
https://whengogcomes.com
It was the most depressing thing that I’ve ever written. I don’t like to see billions die. I just don’t. I know that it must happen, and that all of us die, anyway. But, the idea that people would die this badly, this horrifically is hard to think about.
Then, there are those who believe that Gog and Magog come at the beginning of the Great Tribulation. But, let’s look at some other verses in Ezekiel 39 first.
Gog Eaten And Buried
Ezekiel 39:11-20 Gog Eaten And Buried
https://israelsaved.com/ezekiel-39_11-20-gog-eaten-and-buried/
Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
Now, remember what I said before:
The Bible was not divided into chapters until 1227 by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Stephen Langton. Rabbi Nathan divided the Hebrew scriptures into verses in 1448, and Stephanus did the New Testament in 1555.
These were all unsaved men who made quite a few mistakes in the divisions that they made. One of them is Ezekiel 38 and 39. There shouldn’t be a chapter division between them. Of course, that would make for a REALLY long chapter, but cutting this prophecy in half has allowed the less wary to think that they are two prophecies. They aren’t.
Furthermore, you can see that the cleanup effort takes seven months. And, the reason for that is found in this one verse:
25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
– Isaiah 30:25-26 (KJV)
Our civilization cannot survive a solar event that big. It is just impossible.
And the global earthquake that knocks down every building on the planet?
If that is just before the Great Tribulation the Antichrist will rule over rubble, and a world without electricity, transportation, running water or communication. Nothing would move. Everything would be destroyed. And, that’s why a cleanup that should take just weeks, will need to take months.
The Redemption of Israel and Destruction of Babylon
Jeremiah 51 The Redemption of Israel And Destruction of Babylon
https://israelsaved.com/jeremiah-51-the-redemption-of-israel-and-destruction-of-babylon/
5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the Lord of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
10 The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.
17 Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
18 They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
19 The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the Lord of hosts is his name.
20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
21 And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
22 With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;
23 I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
24 And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the Lord.
45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord.
46 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the Lord.
49 As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
Now, I’ve added this here because this needs to happen around the same time that Gog and Magog come against Israel. In fact, it probably happens before their attack on Israel. Either way, it must happen.
Why?
Shia Muslims hate Sunni Muslims probably more than they hate Israel. And, one of the obstacles to the invasion by Gog and Magog would be the Sunni Muslims of Iraq. As Gog and Magog descends upon Israel, they will also descend upon the area of Babylon, where the Sunnis are. And, they will utterly destroy them.
Remember that Babylon was never destroyed. Persia captured Babylon using a special forces group that infiltrated Babylon during one of their celebrations, gained access to where all the leaders of Babylon were celebrating and killed everyone in the room. There wasn’t a single leader that survived, except Daniel who had already gone home after interpreting the handwriting on the wall.
No, Babylon was abandoned and eventually descended to being a frontier town for the Roman or Persian Empire, depending upon who decided they wanted it. Today, it’s just ruins and a tourist attraction near the city of Hillah in Iraq. And, it’s teeming with life.
Since Babylon was never destroyed, then its destruction must be in the future. And, as it says above:
5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the Lord of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
10 The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.
The destruction of Babylon will be for the salvation of Israel. And, the salvation of Israel must be decades before the Great Tribulation.
