New Covenant

We know from Amos 9:11-15, that those of the nations that are called by God’s name – the Christians – will come unto Israel. They will hear the gospel, and I know from personal experience that every Israeli has heard the gospel. But, they won’t accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior until Zechariah 12:10:

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

And, in the section about Jesus, we proved that the word look, actually means consider. They will consider the One that they pierced. And, a third of everyone in the Land of Israel will accept Him as their Lord and Savior through faith – in the very same way that you and I did.

Again, If Jesus was coming to save them from the great battle that they were fighting, would they be mourning for Him?

Of course not. They are mourning for the fact that their precious Messiah had to suffer and die for their sins. That they were the people who crucified Him. Just as you and I crucified Him because of our sins. And, they will mourn over the centuries of their rebellion against Him.

Having lived in Jerusalem, I know the great desire that they have for Messiah. For centuries they prayed that God would send them their Messiah.

How ashamed and crushed will they be, when they find out that He not only came, but they rejected and killed Him?

I can tell you with complete certainty, that they will be crushed by this realization. But, they will also come to rejoice with us that they have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ. And, this new and everlasting covenant that we have and that they will one day have will be something that the world will wonder at.

Israel Redeemed With A New Heart

Ezekiel 11:14-24 Israel Redeemed With A New Heart
https://israelsaved.com/ezekiel-11_14-24-israel-redeemed-with-a-new-heart/

16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.

19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

21 But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord God.

As God has done for us, He will give them a new heart. They submit to God in fear and joy – just as we do. But, those who ‘walk after the heart of their detestable things’, God will destroy.

How will God destroy the rebels?

As you will see later, it will be the coming of Gog and Magog and Ezekiel’s Fire. Those that refuse to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be destroyed by the earthquake that destroys every city in Israel and every city around the world. As Zechariah says, two thirds will be cut off and die. And, the one third that survives will be purified.

The New Covenant

Jeremiah 31:31-40 The New Covenant
https://israelsaved.com/jeremiah-31_31-40-the-new-covenant/

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

So, God will make this new covenant. It will be the same fantastic covenant that we have, and they will also receive the one thing that sets us apart from all others:

The Holy Spirit

We have spent centuries quenching the Holy Spirit by teaching for commandments the doctrines of men. Instead of letting the Holy Spirit teach us, we have said that He isn’t enough. That we must have commentaries written by men who were reading other men’s commentaries. But, God will destroy their commentaries. He will also destroy ours, for they all will lie under the rubble created by the great earthquake that comes with Ezekiel’s Fire.

A New Everlasting Covenant

Ezekiel 16:60-63 A New Everlasting Covenant
https://israelsaved.com/ezekiel-16_60-63-a-new-everlasting-covenant/

60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

61 Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord:

63 That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God.

How will God be pacified toward them for all that they have done?

How was God pacified toward us for all that we have done?

God being at peace with Israel and with us, will only be through the sacrifice of Jesus, our Lord and Savior – who took upon Himself our sins, paying for them in His sacrifice and cleansing us with His blood that He offered once for for all.

And that covenant?

Just as Jesus was the final sacrifice, He is also the final and everlasting covenant.

An Everlasting Covenant

Isaiah 61:8-11 An Everlasting Covenant
https://israelsaved.com/isaiah-61_8-11-an-everlasting-covenant/

8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Think about how much time will go by after their salvation through Christ. Our civilization would have been crushed by what happens, so there will need to be enough time to pass, before all the world can see that the Children of Israel really are the “seed which the Lord has blessed.”

How long would it take for “the Lord God to cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations?”

That will take a very long time.

A New Covenant For Israel

Jeremiah 32:26-44 A New Covenant For Israel
https://israelsaved.com/jeremiah-32_26-44-a-new-covenant-for-israel/

37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

39 And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

[Definitely saved through faith in Christ and definitely before the Millennium.]

They will have an everlasting covenant, and they will fear God as will their children after them.

Think that statement through: “Their children after them.”

How long would that take? How many generations of Israel will there be? After their salvation? Two? Three? More?

Again, it shows that the Redemption of Israel and the recovery of a crushed civilization will take time.

Complete Destruction of Babylon And the Redemption Of Israel

Jeremiah 50 Complete Destruction of Babylon And The Redemption Of Israel
https://israelsaved.com/jeremiah-50-complete-destruction-of-babylon-and-the-redemption-of-israel/

4 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God.

5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.

6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.

7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.

8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.

18 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.

20 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.

40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the Lord; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.

41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.

For those of you who don’t know, Babylon was never destroyed. In modern terms, the capture of Babylon was basically a Persian special forces decapitation strike that killed all the leaders of Babylon, which that caused the Babylonian military to surrender.

I’ve written the story about this almost bloodless takeover of Babylon before. But, it stands in sharp contrast to the prophecies of the complete obliteration of Babylon here and elsewhere.

Did God make a mistake?

OF COURSE NOT!

So how and when will this destruction take place. Well, you’ve asked the right person, since I’ve devoted a large part of my life to the study of war and why nations do it. And, my training is both formal and informal. Oh, and there’s nothing like going through the Second Intifada in southern Jerusalem to sharpen your interest in the art of war. And, as I write this, some interesting things have happened.

Iran has now been blocked from reaching the Mediterranean Sea. The Shiite Crescent that goes from Iran, through Iraq, Syria and Lebanon has been shattered. They have also been severely weakened and Israel seems ready to weaken them further.

Russia’s military might has been proven to not be as strong as advertised. They’ve lost over 700 thousand soldiers and will be suffering a demographic collapse over the next few years. Soon, they will not have much of a military left.

The only power still standing in the region is Israel and Turkey. Turkey was behind the dismantling of Syria and is looking to expand her influence through the Turkic countries of central Asia as well as Iraq and the rest of Syria. They have also vowed to take Jerusalem.

However, Russia, Turkey and Iran are ruled by elderly men with an elderly way of thinking. For Gog and Magog to happen, a new generation of tyrants will need to take over. And, during that period of time, you can bet that Israel will devote more of its resources towards prosperity than their military. Israel will become a nation of unwalled villages.

We’ll see what happens.

However, when this coalition of countries that we will call Gog and Magog come down, they will destroy all opposition that it has. And, it looks like Babylon will need to be destroyed in a fashion that will horrify the world. After destroying Babylon and anything else, they will descend upon Israel.

We’ll get into all of that more in the section about Gog and Magog, but the destruction of Babylon will be so awful and so permanent, no one will be able to live there – unlike today. And, the coming of Gog and Magog against Israel will shake the world and kill billions.

I hate the thought of it, but sin has consequences.
